United Road offers drivers a lucrative way to add to their benefits package — driver referral bonuses and prizes!
Just ask David Sirdan of the Detroit Terminal. He earned $6,000 in bonuses for referring three drivers in one month! Congratulations, David!
Meanwhile, Harold Gamble of the Greer Terminal in sunny South Carolina won our March Employee Referral Raffle. Way to go, Harold! We hope by now you’ve found time to enjoy your new 42-inch HD, 3-D Big-Screen! While posting this story, two more televisions were soon to be raffled off.
Drivers here at United Road can earn extra cash by simply sharing their positive experiences at United Road. When they meet experienced drivers working for other companies, United Road drivers often will encourage them to join United Road’s strong, growing company. And if they do, they can earn a lot of cash.
Here’s how it works: When a driver refers someone who completes an online application (unitedroad.com/employment) and they list the United Road’s driver as a reference, the United Road driver earns an application bonus of $100 (if they do not have car-haul experience) or $250 (if they have car-haul experience).
When the company hires the person who’s referred, the big bucks roll in. For the first Owner-Operator or Company Driver whom a United Road driver refers and United Road leases or hires, drivers earn a referral bonus of $1,000. For the second, $2,000. And for the third and every subsequent Owner-Operator or Company Driver, $3,000. That is significant cash!
And to make it even more fun, drivers can win their choice of an iPad or an iPad Mini when they refer someone who completes an on-line application.
United Road pulls one ballot per month — the more qualified drivers one refers, the better one’s odds of winning.
It’s a good bet drivers put their reward money to good use. Take, the aforementioned David, for example. He’s putting his extra cash into refurbishing a bathroom in his Taylor, MI, home.
“So far, I’ve put about $3,000 into the bathroom,” said the driver, with whom we caught up while he was hauling cars to New Jersey. He has been working with United Road for less than a year and has already raked in $6,000 in referral cash. He and his wife are considering a blue-and-white motif for their renovated space. “She makes the decisions on that,” he said with a laugh.
In the first three months of 2013, the company paid out more than $31,000 in referral pay.
